PS3 Emulator (RPCS3)

Steps for RPCS3:

If you are unsure how to use RPCS3 to play ModNation, please refer to this guide.

Please check the prerequisites before proceeding

Game Setup

1. Right click on the game, and click “Create Custom Configuration From Default Settings”
   
   
2. In the window that appears, click on the “GPU” tab and ensure that “Write Color Buffers” is enabled
   
   
   

   Write Color Buffers is required otherwise terrain will be gliched and will render the game unplayable
3. Now click on the “Network” tab
4. Change “Network Status” to “Connected” and “PSN Status” to “RPCN”
5. Input into IP/Hosts switches “modnation.ps3.playstationcloud.com=45.32.179.33”
   
   
   

   Please note that the IP address listed may be subject to change, if your installation suddenly stops working check back here!
6. Click “Save custom configuration” at the bottom of the window

Finally you must create an RPCN account, this can be done by following this guide.

Extra Tweaks

To improve your experience, we recommend you also do the following

1. Right click on the game, and click “Manage Game Patches”
   
   
2. If a message saying “New patches are available” appears, click “Yes” and then “Ok” once the update completes
   
   
3. Click the right-facing arrow to the left of “ModNation Racers”, then again on your specific game version
4. Check “Disable Customization Cache”
5. Click “Save” at the bottom of the window

Please note that we do not officially support any of the other listed patches in online play, you will be warned and then subsequently removed from our services if your patches negatively affect the gameplay experience of other users. The same goes for any other modifications you may make to the game.
